TUNA & PIG — XPLR NASHVILLE × BELLO
Under the lights of VAL Art Gallery, a night unlike any other unfolds — a night where art, gastronomy, and culture collide to create a living masterpiece.
Rey Bello and XPLR Nashville join forces to present Tuna & Pig, an immersive culinary performance that celebrates tradition, creativity, and connection.
At the center of the evening stands a majestic bluefin tuna, flown in from Spain — honored through the ancient Japanese ceremony of Maguro Kaitai, the tuna cutting show that merges precision, respect, and beauty. Nearby, the aroma of slow-roasted pork fills the air, creating a dialogue between ocean and land, Japan and the South, delicacy and strength.
But this night is more than flavor — it’s art in motion.
Larry Stuart transforms menus and canvases into visual poetry.
Ross Clark, tattoo artist and storyteller, brings the raw pulse of permanent art to life — reminding guests that creation and identity are eternal.
And Blue Run elevates the moment with a bourbon pairing crafted for the senses — smooth, elegant, and unapologetically bold, just like the night itself.
As the tuna is sliced with precision and the music fills the air, guests are transported into a world where every element — taste, sound, color, and spirit — becomes part of the story.
This is not a dinner.
It’s a ceremony of artistry and emotion.
